At the March 10 meeting council presented framed resolutions honoring two longtime residents: Lena R. Ford Sherman on her 101st birthday and Carrie Burgess Eaddy on her 100th birthday. Families accepted the framed resolutions and expressed thanks to council; Rev. Annie Jones (daughter of Mrs. Sherman) extended gratitude on the family's behalf.
The council also adopted (previously and at the meeting) tributes naming the Bamber-Ehrhardt High School Red Raiders Varsity Football Team (2025 SCHSL Class A State Football Champions) and the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Girls Track & Field Team (2025 SCHSL Class A State Champions) as ambassadors for Bamberg County. The minutes note awards will be distributed and tributes bestowed to participants.
