Board removes public "probation" label for Dr. Matthew Dikin while keeping monitoring

The Nevada State Board of Osteopathic Medicine unanimously approved a request by Dr. Matthew Dikin to remove the public "probation" designation from his license verification page while maintaining all terms of his May 14, 2024 settlement and ongoing monitoring.
Dr. Dikin (represented at the meeting by Mark Chase) clarified he was not seeking early termination of the underlying settlement or monitoring program, only the administrative change to public-facing status. Chase told the Board that Dikin had "fully complied with every requirement, including drug and alcohol testing, scheduled meetings, and psychological evaluations." Board Counsel Micheline Fairbank confirmed the monitoring agreement includes statutory confidentiality provisions and that the Board has authority to direct staff to modify the public designation without altering the legal terms of the settlement.
