Bamberg County receives unmodified FY2025 audit; auditors report no findings

Bamberg County officials reported a clean audit for fiscal year 2025 at the March 10 council meeting. Controller Gina Smith, CPA, presented the county's financials and Will Walls, CPA, partner with Love Bailey CPAs, confirmed Bamberg received an Unmodified Audit Opinion, the highest level of assurance.
Walls also said the county completed a Single Audit (triggered when a jurisdiction spends $750,000 or more in federal funds) and "there were no audit findings for FY2025," a result the presentation described as continuing Bamberg County's record of fiscal compliance. The council offered congratulations to staff for the audited results.
