Rezoning request for 19.27 acres sent back to area plan for rehearing after new survey presented

Planner Matt Sandy reviewed planning-commission concerns about spot zoning and compatibility with the comprehensive plan and noted the planning commission had recommended not to rezone. Petitioner representative Tina Owens said the property already contains two homes and the owner wants to separate ownership so his son can buy a nearby dwelling. "He is also willing... to make it into the 1 5 acre, 1 lot minor subdivision too as an alternative," Owens said.
Commissioners agreed to return the application to area plan for rehearing with the new plot plan and scheduled the follow-up review; no rezoning decision was made at the meeting.
