Commissioners approve replacement emergency management vehicle after receiving three quotes

Emergency Management Director Kip Schuder asked the board to approve purchase of a replacement vehicle for his office, citing high repair costs for the current 2015 vehicle that has more than 111,000 miles.
Schuder said staff solicited three quotes and recommended the low bidder, noting the trade-in reduced the net cost. "The low quote is from Wiers, and I am recommending that we move forward with the Wiers quote," he said.
A commissioner moved to approve the purchase, the board voted by voice and approved the recommendation. County staff will complete procurement with the selected vendor and account for the trade-in as part of the purchase process.
