Commissioners approve $408,225 LPA contract for Bridge 145 and sign right-of-way agreements for two other bridges

County engineers asked commissioners to approve preliminary engineering for Bridge 145 and to sign several right-of-way agreements tied to other near-term bridge projects.
"This is on County Road 600 West over Trimble Creek... The amount is $408,225, and I'm looking for your approval of that contract first," the presenter said. Commissioners moved to approve the contract and later authorized staff to execute right-of-way agreements for parcels tied to Bridge 123 (Packard Road) and Bridge 139 (700 East over the Eel River).
The board voted by voice to approve the consultant contract and separately approved the agreements allowing officials to sign documents necessary to acquire parcels or easements. The county did not discuss alternate bids during the public portion of the meeting.
Staff will return with executed documents or additional details as property acquisition and engineering work proceed.
