The Middletown Springs Selectboard voted to reorganize its officers, approving a short-term arrangement through the March transition. The motion to nominate an experienced member to serve as chair was made, seconded, and approved by voice vote; the acting chair will remain as vice chair and the clerk will keep current duties until March.
The chair who presided over the meeting put the nomination “in the form of a motion,” which a board member seconded. After calling for further nominations and receiving none, the chair asked for a vote and recorded the motion as approved by voice. The board said it will revisit officer roles at the March meeting when membership and circumstances are clearer.
