Clermont County commissioners table dog kennel volunteer policy for two weeks

The Clermont County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 29 removed the previously tabled Volunteer Policy for the Clermont County Dog Kennel from the table and then voted to table it again for two more weeks.
Commissioner Painter requested the item be removed from the table; Commissioner Corcoran moved to remove it and Commissioner Batchler seconded. After discussion, Deputy Assistant County Administrator Angie Livesay asked for additional review time and the board, moved by Commissioner Batchler and seconded by Commissioner Corcoran, voted to table the policy until the Feb. 12, 2025 regular session. The roll call vote was recorded as Commissioner Corcoran, Yes; Commissioner Batchler, Yes; Commissioner Painter, Yes.
Livesay told the board the policy is under review and asked for the two-week delay so staff can address outstanding issues. No policy changes were adopted at the Jan. 29 meeting; the item will return to a future consent or non-consent agenda for further consideration.
