NCDOT staff clarified that funded projects are tracked differently in the documentation and that preconstruction and public‑hearing steps usually precede any construction; they also described the timing and windows contractors typically have to complete work once projects are advertised.
A motion to adopt the CTP locally was made and seconded; the board put the proposal to a voice vote and the motion carried, allowing staff to forward the local adoption to the RPO and NCDOT for endorsement and future prioritization and funding processes.
