The Clermont County Board of Commissioners opened its Jan. 8, 2025 regular session with a reorganization after President Claire B. Corcoran presented a letter resigning the presidency "effective immediately." Commissioner Bonnie J. Batchler nominated Commissioner David L. Painter for the office; the Board voted unanimously to elect Painter President for Calendar Year 2025.
The newly constituted Board took a brief recess at Painter's request. "Commissioner Painter requested a ten-minute recess," the minutes record; the session resumed shortly after 10:15 a.m. The Board then approved the minutes of Dec. 30, 2024, and proceeded through its agenda.
