Committee to finalize edits in August, recommend ordinance in September; chair to step down

Staff said she will consolidate proposed edits to the e-bike/e-scooter draft in Word, use color coding or strikethroughs to show changes, and post materials in a shared Google folder so members can review ahead of the August meeting.
"So the idea is I will clean this up. I will add a few things in regard to bicycle... and then we can review that at the August meeting, and then it would be for the September police and public safety meeting," the staff member said. She also noted she will ask consultants about a standardized school-zone approach at a Wednesday meeting and look for ways to fold signage work into existing sidewalk projects.
Committee members agreed to do neighborhood outreach on Birchwood and Cornelius and to assemble comments for finalizing the Complete Streets goals. The meeting concluded after a short procedural motion and with the chair announcing an intention to step down as committee chair.
"I'm not planning on leaving a committee, but I'm gonna step down as the chair of this committee," the chair said near the adjournment.
