CPMT hears announcements on training, state budget cap, sex‑trafficking screening and CPST transition

Donna Clements told the CPMT that CSA will hold a Case Planning training next week for new and experienced case managers.
Claiborne Warner said that language in the proposed General Assembly budget may return a 2.5% cap on private day-rate reimbursement over previous-year rates and that there is significant funding proposed to centralize Child Protective Services to address disparities in screened-out referrals across localities. Warner also said that group homes and residential programs in Virginia will be required to screen for sex trafficking upon a youth’s admission to programming.
Ms. Warner and Ms. Ivy Sager noted that Intensive In-home services are being revamped and that the program will transition to Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST); no implementation dates or funding breakdowns were provided in open session.
