The board approved disclosure of a tentative collective bargaining agreement with the Franklin McKinley Education Association (FMEA) and later approved the tentative agreement itself. Assistant Superintendent Vaughn said the agreement’s estimated fiscal impact is about $1,000,000 for each of the next three fiscal years and includes a 1.25% salary‑schedule increase effective July 1, 2025 and a district commitment to contribute 95% of the Kaiser premium for bargaining unit members who select that plan.
The board then approved a 1.25% on‑schedule compensation increase and health‑benefit contribution increases for management and confidential employees and approved matching increases for assistant superintendents and the superintendent. Trustee Sanchez and others thanked negotiating teams and district staff for productive work. The motions carried by roll call.
