Huntsville council records unanimous vote to sell donated investment; mayor excused

The Huntsville Town Council on Oct. 31 approved a motion to liquidate a donated GBCI investment to fund furniture, landscaping and other extras for the new Town Hall. The motion was moved by Council Member Bruce Ahlstrom and seconded by Council Member Artie Powell; the minutes record a 4-0 vote in favor with Mayor Richard L. Sorensen excused.
After the vote the council considered no further substantive business. Council Member Artie Powell moved to adjourn and Council Member Bruce Ahlstrom seconded; all votes were aye and the meeting was adjourned at 11:11 a.m. Town Clerk Nikki Wolthuis certified the minutes.
