The mayor also urged volunteers for the upcoming Huntsville Marathon (date noted at the meeting) and asked councilmembers to further consider an approach to meeting new 1099/payroll reporting obligations for council member compensation.
Other council reports included a planned road‑seal program, follow‑up on nuisance/code calls, and an update that a proposed chipping project (Nova Tierra) will not proceed this year in Huntsville.
