Jessica Ramsey, representing Technology Services, reported a countywide upgrade plan to replace network switches and wireless access points at 1840 Simon Kenton Way and other county facilities. She said the facility had some equipment moved from an older location and that the scheduled upgrades will be completed over the summer after hours to avoid major impact on daily operations.
Ramsey warned there could be intermittent VPN connectivity issues for staff working remotely during upgrade windows and said Technology Services will coordinate communications with agencies that operate after hours to reduce disruption.
