Michael Prus, president of PRUS Construction, introduced himself and his firm after the court approved the contract for Construction Manager at Risk services for the New County Park. Prus said PRUS has worked on large regional projects and described outdoor public-space work as the company’s niche, noting they have been preparing for the project since January and "couldn't be more thrilled about the opportunity."
When Judge/Executive Kris Knochelmann asked about schedule, Prus said he believes the goal is to finish in 2028 "provided things continue to move the way that we expect them to." The contract was part of the consent agenda approved by the court; staff present included representatives from Human Nature and Bayer Becker and the county indicated work will continue to progress toward design and construction milestones.
