Mayor Pro Tem Sandy Hunter told the Council the sidewalk presented a trip hazard and the work had already been completed as part of Maddox Construction's other town work. The invoice (Attachment #7) itemized demo, concrete and curb re-pours and an asphalt patch; the minutes show Council approved spending $3,761 with the Treasurer to decide whether the payment should come from the General Fund or Capital Projects fund. Council recorded the vote as 3-1 in favor.
The Council discussed that the original sidewalk had been installed by the school and that the Town coordinated the repair with the Town Hall project; members directed the treasurer to confirm fund availability for payment.
