Summary

Public health staff described a multi‑step prioritization process that reduced 19 initial topics to the four priorities now in the CHIP. "We didn't — public health didn't — pick these; we worked with community members and leaders to determine them," a presenter said, explaining that the Community Health Services Advisory Committee (SHAC) signed off on the priorities.
For two priorities (mental health/well‑being and health care access), public health convened action teams to develop goals and objectives; for the other two (healthy living/chronic conditions and basic needs), the department will focus on relationship‑building and information sharing with established partners such as the Statewide Health Improvement Partnership and local collaboratives. Staff said some objectives are set through June 2031 and that action plans will set more concrete timelines.
