At its Jan. 27 meeting the Preble County Board of Zoning Appeals approved a string of Temporary Use Permit renewals for short‑term rentals and home‑based commercial activity. The Board approved Case 5718 (Sherry Foster) to continue short‑term rental use at 5182 Lewisburg Road for one year, Case 5721 (Jimmy Combs) to renew a sales/storage building/office permit for two years, Case 5724 (Donald R. Landes) for a one‑year short‑term rental at 2830 US 40 West, and Case 5726 (Roger Brunk) for a one‑year permit to operate part of a long‑term rental as a short‑term rental.
Board members repeatedly noted the absence of complaints on the files. Sarah Driver, who moved several of the approvals, reminded applicants they must obtain the required Certificate of Occupancy from the Zoning Office; Brad Kramer advised applicants to contact staff for specific permitting steps. Vote tallies were recorded by roll call for each motion.
