Clerk: Board to adopt CDBG procurement policy language required for grant submission

Clerk told the board that the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) procurement policy is required for the county’s grant submission and largely reflects state-prescribed language specific to CDBG grants. "This is specific for all the CDBG," the Clerk said while explaining the document mirrors state requirements.
Members discussed whether the procurement language was already posted and whether the county’s existing procurement approach needed only minor adjustments. The board agreed to add the CDBG procurement policy to the board policy packet for next week’s meeting so members can review the language before a final vote. The Clerk emphasized that the change is meant to eliminate confusion between policies that apply to union versus nonunion employees within personnel sections of the handbook.
