The Salem Township Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the township’s monthly expenditures totaling $115,460 during its Oct. 16 meeting, covering the General Fund ($45,574.71), Payroll ($39,849.02), Liquid Fuels ($21,412.56) and several smaller funds.
Resident Tom Ridella asked for clarification on specific items in Solicitor Falatovich’s invoices and resident Connie Mattei noted the township’s Stormwater ordinance may permit billing for the Township Engineer’s meeting attendance and initial reviews. Atty. Falatovich responded, “the only thing that we have been charging off for Doug relating to our Stormwater Management Ordinance is his inspections,” and said he would review the ordinance to confirm whether other charges are authorized. The motion to approve expenditures was made by Kerry Jobe and seconded by Ken Trumbetta; Supervisors Zundel, Trumbetta and Jobe voted in favor.
