The board approved multiple payments to local volunteer fire departments at the Sept. 18 meeting. Supervisors authorized annual Fire Tax distributions of $35,000 each to Slickville and Forbes Road Volunteer Fire Departments from the Fire Protection Account. The board also approved distributing 25% of Local Service Tax (LST) revenues collected in 2023—$33,923.75 total, or $16,961.87 per department—and splitting Commonwealth State Aid received in 2024 ($41,015.61 total; $20,507.80 per department).
All motions carrying those payments passed unanimously. The minutes record the amounts and the unanimous votes but do not include additional reporting on departmental budgets or conditional disbursement terms.
