Weber County officials offer economic-planning help to Huntsville amid revenue discussions

John Bond, Weber County staff, explained municipal revenue options, including sales-tax shares, telecommunication license taxes and other local levies; he recommended assessing trade-offs between preserving the town's character and adopting new revenue sources.
County economic development director Stephanie Russell offered hands-on assistance to craft three‑, five‑ and ten‑year financial plans and suggested a diverse advisory committee to evaluate fee strategies, energy-tax options, and interlocal agreements. Councilors invited county staff to continue collaborating and to provide follow-up materials.
