The council approved a conditional use permit (CUP) renewal submitted by Dennis Fenderson for continued indoor and outdoor storage at 275 South 11th Street and removed an earlier tree-stipulation. Jeff Beierman, community development director, summarized the property, surrounding zoning and staff recommendation that the tree requirement be removed because utility work prevented installation.
"Planning commission did recommend approval with the removal of the trees stipulation," Beierman said, noting utilities and recent electrical work on the site. Council members moved and seconded the approval; the motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
The decision replaces the prior condition requiring trees along Grant Street, which staff said were never installed because of utility conflicts. There were no public objections at the hearing and the council closed the public comment period before voting.
