"That deployment takes about a month... the whole process for each home takes about 2 or 3 months, and we are about to completing 80 homes by December 2026," Dr. Massey said.
The project includes education on mitigation measures and online alerting for homeowners; the research team said it is also seeking other federal and state grant opportunities to expand similar work. Commissioners and staff discussed referrals through university partner relationships and ways local agencies could nominate participant households.
