At the entry the board confirmed the cemetery rule that no vehicles enter the grounds except small work vehicles, so the gate will be repaired rather than widened. Contractor Jamie Dungfelder recorded a 19‑foot measurement on the left side of the gate and 15 feet on the right side up to the tree; he photographed the area for the rendering he will submit with his bid. The board asked him to repair the metal gate so it functions again and to fix the stone walls on either side of the gate.
Dungfelder proposed adding a washer to the top of the gate hardware to help prevent theft of gate fittings; the board had no objection and asked that the detail be included in his bid documents. The group discussed repositioning nearby stone pillars and remedial steps to restore the raised platformed section near the entrance.
