At its June 22 meeting the Canal Winchester Landmarks Commission approved Certificate of Appropriateness #CA-26-020 for 100 West Columbus Street, allowing the installation of CertainTeed Landmark shingles in "Moire Black" on both the main house and a detached outbuilding. The applicant (Brady Balsimo — The Roofing Guys) told commissioners existing box vents in the back would be replaced and no other exterior elements would change; gutters and white drip edge will remain as-is.
Pete Lynch moved to approve the application and David Craycraft seconded; the motion carried unanimously (Yes:7). The commission noted the change would replace the existing 3-tab orange-brown and brighter orange shingles with the darker "Moire Black" product on both structures.
