Commission approves 4-foot cedar picket fence for 19 E. Oak to allow extra parking

Danielle Barber’s application to install a 4-foot wood picket fence at 19 East Oak Street was approved June 22 by the Canal Winchester Landmarks Commission. The fence will be set back approximately 16 feet from the alley to preserve an additional parking area and will include a gate on either side and a double gate at the rear; Barber said the cedar fence will likely remain with a natural finish and the finished side will face outward.
A motion by Patrick Lynch, seconded by David Craycraft, approved Certificate of Appropriateness #CA-26-021 as presented (Yes:7). Commissioners accepted the applicant’s photographs and plot plan and noted the fence will line up with a neighboring chain-link fence farther from the alley.
