Commission adopts three resolutions on vacant-structure registry, permit fees and public notice locations

Anaconda-Deer Lodge County commissioners approved three administrative resolutions at the Jan. 6 meeting.
Resolution No. 26-01 establishes registration and inspection fees connected to Ordinance No. 256 (Vacant Registry and Vacant Structure Registration Requirements) for calendar year 2026. Resolution No. 26-02 adopts the county's building permit fee schedule for 2026; CEO Bill Everett reminded commissioners that fees had been cut in half roughly seven years ago and said the county continues to operate with comparatively low fees. Resolution No. 26-03 designates official locations for posting public notices; public commenter Janice Hagen-Delaney asked the board to add the Metcalf Center so residents who do not use computers can access notices.
All three resolutions were approved on voice votes, each recorded as passing 5-0 in the minutes.
