Jay Yohner spoke on behalf of Home Town Days asking the city to pay $2,800 for inflatable play equipment to add events to the Bennett County Fair. Councilmembers said the request was not in the 2025 budget and that the proper process is to submit a funding request letter in July for the following year.
The motion to delay funding until next year passed. Ayes were Moffitt, Wilson, Kocourek and Haynes; nays were Lucero and Peterson. Finance Officer Jean Kirk reminded the group to submit formal funding requests in July for consideration in next years budget process.
