Commissioners approve donations, interlocal agreement, joinder and veteran service officer appointment

The Commissioners Court approved several administrative and charitable items in a single block of business. Commissioner Tim Sprinkle moved to accept a $2,500 corporate donation/grant from the Enbridge Safe Community First Responder Program for the Sheriff's Office; Kermit Kennedy seconded and the motion carried. The court also approved an interlocal cooperation agreement for inmate housing with Newton County (moved by Kenneth Jeffrey, seconded by Kermit Kennedy) and accepted a donation of flag poles from Reladyne, LLC/Strm Coast Resources with authorization for Road & Bridge to assist in retrieval and transport (moved by Tom Berry, seconded by Kermit Kennedy).
Additionally, the court approved a joinder agreement between Imagine360 Administrators and Claritev (moved by Kermit Kennedy, seconded by Tim Sprinkle) and appointed Ellen Moreau as Angelina County Veteran Service Officer (moved by Kermit Kennedy, seconded by Tom Berry). All items were recorded as carried with no recorded votes against them.
