The Commissioners Court ratified an existing grant agreement that will provide $23,500 annually to support a mental-health deputy and approved a special invoice-processing step for a grant administrator invoice.
The judge described the prepaid-care grant, "For me, care every year gives us $23,500 to help support the mental health deputy," and asked for formal ratification, which the court approved by motion. Later, during accounts-payable review, finance staff flagged an invoice from Public Management Inc., the county's CDBG grant administrator, and said the invoice must be approved for submission to the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) for reimbursement. The court amended the prevailing motion to specifically approve that Public Management Inc. invoice for submission to TDA and approved the request; finance staff said the county will pay the contractor after TDA deposits the reimbursement in the county account.
No dollar amount was approved for immediate payment from county funds; the PMI invoice will be paid upon reimbursement receipt from TDA.
