Greg Monson, the applicant, said the color views were prepared by his daughter to show material coloring and acknowledged they used ChatGPT to generate the colored views: "We did that as a chat GPT just so that you could see the colorings," he said. Commissioner Joe said the elevation views and the site plan did not line up and asked the applicant to return with elevation drawings and plans "at the same building" so the commission can judge massing and connections. Based on that, Joe moved to table the matter until updated documentation is submitted; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
Staff and commissioners praised the material samples but emphasized that formal architectural elevations, accurately labeled views and plans that match the site plan are required before final approval can be granted.
