Parks staff told the board the existing scoreboard (installed in 1997) will be replaced with an LED scoreboard and that the project will require running new electrical cords to the press box area. Because the current press box is not inhabitable, staff proposed a temporary enclosure under the scoreboard to house electronics and equipment until the press box can be rebuilt.
The board discussed preserving one glass panel from the old press box for use in the new structure and asked staff to evaluate cabling and short-term storage solutions. Staff said they will continue to coordinate with vendors and return with a cost estimate and timeline.
