Florence County Council rescinds prior reconsideration on Ordinance No. 21, then denies a new reconsideration

At its Nov. 21 meeting the Florence County Council voted 5–4 to rescind a previous motion that had reconsidered the vote on Ordinance No. 21-2024/25. A subsequent motion to reconsider the rescind was denied 3–6 following discussion.
Florence County Council on Nov. 21 rescinded a prior motion that had re-opened action on Ordinance No. 21-2024/25 and then rejected a new attempt to reconsider that rescission.
Vice-Chairman Jerry W. Yarborough moved to rescind the Council's earlier decision to reconsider Ordinance No. 21; the rescind motion passed 5–4 with Councilmen Caudle, Moore, Yarborough, Dorriety and Chairman C. William Schofield voting in favor and Councilmen Poston, Bradley, Springs and Mumford opposed. Yarborough then moved to reconsider the rescind; after additional discussion the motion to reconsider was denied 3–6 (Bradley, Springs and Poston voted to reconsider; Dorriety, Moore, Schofield, Yarborough, Caudle and Mumford voted no).
