Kaufman County to solicit bids for a Precinct 1 water truck

Miss Lorena, introduced earlier on the agenda, told the court the county will release a competitive solicitation (bid 2026-009) this week for the purchase of a water truck for Precinct 1. She said the bid package will be released Thursday and the solicitation period is scheduled to run through August 13.
"So this will be a competitive bid for the water truck... And if approved, we will be releasing that this week on Thursday, and it will go out through August 13," Miss Lorena said. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the release of the solicitation by voice vote. No procurement award was made at this meeting; the item was authorization to proceed with the solicitation.
