The Summit County Service Area #3 Board of Trustees unanimously amended its personnel policy on March 17 to authorize the Board Chair to act as interim General Manager during an authorized leave of Acting General Manager Vince Pao-Borjigin. The change was made after the board returned from a closed session; Trustee Karri Taix moved the amendment and Trustee Justin Shea seconded. The motion passed 6-0.
Counsel Nathan Bracken announced that Vince is taking an authorized leave. The board directed staff to implement a succession plan and to reflect the interim-authority language in the personnel policy effective immediately. No additional personnel actions were taken at the meeting.
