Potter County Treasurer Brooke reported account balances as of Jan. 31: Amarillo National Bank $14,778,158.37 (4.65%), TexasCLASS $23,191,114.90 (4.54%), TexPool Prime $6,457,800.92 (4.52%), and multi-bank securities $19,742,000, for a general fund total of $64,169,074.19.
Brooke asked the court to adopt a small amendment to the county investment policy to explicitly allow purchase of certificates of deposit insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) in addition to FDIC-insured CDs. Commissioners approved the text change and accepted the treasurer's report.
