Parker County Commissioners unanimously approved a proclamation designating May 11, 2025, as Children's Mental Wellness Day and heard a presentation about the Parker County System of Care and Project Thrive.
Cynthia (presenter) said Parker County System of Care — supported by a SAMHSA grant and with Cook Children's as a major partner — has established MOUs with multiple school districts and has produced more than 100 referrals to school-based services at no cost. She told commissioners the current grant will close in August, but county partners aim to sustain the system of care locally. Commissioners thanked presenters and agreed to support continued local coordination and public awareness.
The court moved, seconded and carried the proclamation 5–0; commissioners invited the presenters for a photo following the vote.
