Parker County commissioners moved to name Justin Bradley to the county’s seat on the Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District board and discussed water supply issues affecting growth and development.
Bradley, who said he owns Jack Metals and serves on the Parker County EDC board, told the court he grew up with wells and is engaging to understand groundwater and infrastructure options. “If we don't tackle this quickly... there’s not gonna be any 10 years we’re not gonna be having this discussion because there’s not gonna be any water,” Bradley said. Commissioners thanked Bradley for stepping up and urged him to meet the county’s hydrology and engineering committees; staff noted a full report will be brought to court after upcoming committee meetings.
The court moved and approved the appointment and emphasized water remains a top county priority that affects roads, growth and other services. Commissioners discussed the limits of county authority under state law for subdivision approval but reiterated the county’s continuing work with the Upper Trinity district and engineering consultants to address long-term needs.
