Court awards WN Woody road improvements to GROD Construction LLC at $1,063,055

Chris Bosco of Freese and Nichols briefed the court on the WN Woody road improvement procurement. "We received 5 bids," Bosco said, and recommended award to GROD Construction LLC as the low bidder at $1,063,055 against a program estimate of $1.2 million. Bosco said contract finalization and mobilization typically take three to four weeks after award.
Commissioner Collins moved to approve the award, a motion seconded by Commissioner Walden; commissioners voted to approve the award and to initiate construction contract actions. Bosco said the firm has worked with the county on previous projects and staff will complete the contract paperwork to proceed.
