The commissioners approved two proclamations recognizing April observances. Gerald Hobson (invited reader) presented a proclamation designating April 2025 as Child Abuse Prevention Month and asked citizens and community organizations to support families and prevention efforts; the court approved the proclamation by motion (carried 5–0).
Lisa Meyerhoff asked the court to recognize National Crime Victims Rights Week (April 6–12, 2025), highlighted the county's 15th annual Parker County Attorney's School art contest tying student artwork to victim awareness, and encouraged residents to view the display at the annex. The court approved that proclamation by vote (5–0).
