Martin said the Master Gardeners provided 15 educational programs attended by 284 people and a junior master gardener program that reached 428 children in county schools.
Martin also noted the group provided seven grants totaling $6,000 to local schools and nonprofits and quantified the group's total volunteer contribution value at $496,991. The court thanked the volunteers and invited the group to take a photo with commissioners after the presentation.
