BCA clarifies omniballot availability, provisional ballots and eligibility for 17-year-olds

The Clerk said each polling location will have an omniballot accessible ballot-marking device and that a spare device will be available for November. Staff noted the omniballot has been set up and logic-and-accuracy checked by the vendor but is rarely used in practice, so the board scheduled a hands-on review: “We will set it up together and ask questions,” the Clerk said.
On eligibility and same-day registration, staff clarified that 17-year-olds who will be 18 by Nov. 5 will be on the checklist and are eligible provided they will be 18 by election day; the board will accept ID numbers (driver's license or Social Security) as allowed on state forms and will rely on self-attestation where appropriate. Officials reiterated provisional ballots are available in local elections and staff explained when to issue affidavits to correct ballot issues.
