Sarah Purdy reported the Penn Yan–Yates County Airport received four general contractor bids and one electrical bid for the 8‑bay T‑hangar and taxi‑lane project. Chrisanntha Construction Corp. was the lowest general contractor bidder, but the lowest bid was approximately $60,000 higher than the NYSDOT grant award tied to the project (the award amount dates from three years prior and costs have increased since then).
The Airport Council and C & S Engineers will contact NYSDOT to request an increase in the award amount; if NYSDOT cannot increase the funding, staff and the Airport Council will look to reduce project scope or costs. The committee was asked to accept and authorize several funding and consultant agreements, and to authorize a temporary easement for obstruction removal at 2499 Route 14A, Penn Yan.
