Summit County Service Area #3 trustees elect new chair and clerk, tabling deputy clerk

At the Jan. 20 meeting of the Summit County Service Area #3 Board of Trustees, trustees unanimously elected Derek Price as Chair and Justin Shea as Vice Chair. Justin Shea nominated Price for chair, Jon “Otto” Blum seconded, and the motion passed without opposition.
The board also accepted the resignation of Clerk Karri Taix. David Olson self-nominated for Clerk; Scott Witkin seconded and Olson was unanimously elected. Trustees agreed to table the appointment of a deputy clerk. Acting General Manager Vince Pao-Borjigin will update check signers for the district’s bank accounts and the Public Treasurers’ Investment Fund (PTIF). The board’s vote tallies on the officer elections were recorded as unanimous.
