Juvenile Justice Center staff requested authorization to submit an SFA equipment assistance grant application for about $38,000 to update kitchen equipment; the court authorized the county judge to submit the application. The court also approved an interlocal agreement to allow placement of post-adjudicated youth with an El Paso County residential treatment program under a state-funded arrangement at no cost to Lubbock County.
Human Resources Director Melanie Hall explained that the court should authorize the county judge to sign documentation allowing HR access to the Texas Department of Public Safety secure site for criminal-history searches used with conditional employment offers; the court approved the measure and separately authorized the judge to sign documents related to employee benefits as new medical, dental and life vendors are onboarded. Finally, the court approved a GSA Civic Plus statement of work and addendum to implement the Civic Rec reservation system across multiple departments after presentation that staff had vetted options for county-wide use.
