The court also approved the continuation of a critical-needs funding program the court established in 2019, funded at $500,000 per year to be divided among the 11 volunteer departments to address immediate equipment needs such as bunker gear, tires and other safety-related items. The county liaison for volunteer fire departments, Thetford, described monitoring and reporting procedures and said the funds have historically been spent wisely. The court carried both measures by motion.
