Chris McCann reviewed the five‑year master plan and equipment needs, noting that existing consoles and workstations date to around 2002 and are at the end of their service life. He told the board that some vendor quotes appeared lower at first, but “Zetron's quote included 5 years worth of service,” which made Zetron the more economical choice over a five‑year period.
Board members asked whether an additional motion was required and discussed whether the county commission would need to approve the procurement. McCann said the item missed the commission agenda and is expected to appear at the first January commission meeting for approval to move forward with new workstations and consoles.
